OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) refers to a collection of rolled metal products, more commonly known as pipes, and the various accessories included in their manufacture and processes. This can include drill, casing or tubing pipes, thread protectors, stabbing guides, bumper rings and pipe chocks. OCTG include drilling, casing, and tubing used in drilling, equipment, and operation of wells for oil and gas production.
Casing is used while drilling a well. Casing will be placed in the well and cemented, which keeps the hole from sloughing in while drilling process or producing. After well completion tubing is inserted, tubing is the pipe through which oil and gas flow to the surface.
